Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about booking through 4Drive Qatar. We connect you with local suppliers-your contract happens directly with them.

Most travelers ask similar things before their first reservation. Below you'll find practical answers covering the booking process, documentation, vouchers, and policies. If your question isn't here, reach us at [email protected] or call +974 4412 7838 (Sat-Thu: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM GST).

How does the booking process work?

You search dates and vehicle type on our platform, compare offers from local suppliers, then pay a booking advance online. We issue a voucher immediately. At pick-up, you sign the agreement directly with the supplier listed on that voucher. The remaining balance and any deposit are handled at their counter.

What is a voucher and when do I receive it?

The voucher confirms your reservation and shows the supplier name, vehicle details, pick-up location, rental period, and advance paid. You receive it by email within minutes of payment. Print it or save it on your phone-you'll present it at the counter along with your documents.

Can I change my reservation dates?

Date changes depend on the supplier's policy printed on your voucher. Contact us at least 48 hours before pick-up. If the supplier allows amendments, we re-issue the voucher. Last-minute changes or no-shows usually forfeit the advance payment.

Which documents do I need at pick-up?

You must present a valid passport, original driving license from your home country (held for at least one year), and the booking voucher. Visitors from certain countries also need an International Driving Permit alongside their national license. Check Qatar traffic-police requirements for your nationality before arrival.

What is the minimum driver age?

Most suppliers set the minimum at 21 years with at least one year of license history. Some premium or larger vehicles require 25. The voucher states any age restrictions for your chosen vehicle. Young-driver fees, if applicable, appear on the voucher or are collected at pick-up.

Is a credit card required at pick-up?

Many of our partner suppliers accept cash or debit for both the remaining balance and the security hold, so you can drive away without needing a credit card. The voucher specifies accepted payment methods. If deposit is required, it's released when you return the vehicle undamaged with a full tank.

What is the fuel policy?

Standard practice is full-to-full: you collect the vehicle with a full tank and return it full. Woqod stations are widespread across Doha, along Al Corniche, C-Ring, and Lusail expressway. If you return the vehicle less than full, the supplier charges for the missing fuel plus a service fee.

Can I extend my rental period?

Contact the supplier directly using the phone number on your voucher at least 24 hours before the original return time. They will quote the extra-day rate and arrange payment. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.

What happens if I receive a traffic fine?

Qatar uses radar cameras extensively; speed limits are typically 60-80 in town and 100-120 on highways. Fines are registered to the vehicle plate. The supplier will notify you and forward the penalty notice. You settle the fine directly with Qatar Traffic Department or reimburse the supplier if they paid it on your behalf, plus any admin fee stated in the rental agreement.
